The impressionists developed a whole new way of seeing and painting with color. The many innovations in
the artists' materials enabled them to go out of the studio and into nature.
Sit back with Chuck Ceraso as he discusses and demonstrates impressionists techniques.
Watch as he translates an early painting (Courbet's Landscape with Twin Trees)
from the DAM's collection into an impressionist work.
